00:00:00: Welcome, learners.
00:00:01: Today we're taking a deep dive into the world of dual-bull software.
00:00:05: That's right.
00:00:06: Our goal here is really to give you a solid understanding of our company.
00:00:10: Uh...our philosophy and maybe why are solutions could be great fit for your structural engineering work.
00:00:16: Indeed We'll look at Dula's journey.
00:00:19: You know The core values that drive us forward
00:00:21: And advantages our software brings
00:00:23: Exactly!
00:00:24: The unique advantages all from perspective naturally To help see how we aim well empower your projects.
00:00:32: Okay, let's get into it
00:00:33: right?
00:00:33: Let's start Right at the beginning.
00:00:36: how did double gets started?
00:00:38: well It began pretty modestly.
00:00:40: we were founded as a one-man company by Dippling George Duble.
00:00:45: That's a German certified engineer title right correct?
00:00:47: that was back in nineteen eighty seven in horse fungal Germany.
00:00:51: okay so One person in eighty seven.
00:00:53: How does that compare to today?
00:00:54: Oh,
00:00:54: quite a transformation.
00:00:55: From the single founder we've grown quite a bit.
00:00:58: Today were family run company which is something value.
00:01:01: over three hundred employees now and spread across ten international locations think Prague Leipzig Paris even Philadelphia Shanghai.
00:01:11: global reach then
00:01:12: Definitely.
00:01:13: And what's really fascinating is the user base, we now have over thirteen thousand companies and something like a hundred thirty-thousand users.
00:01:22: A hundred and thirty thousands across how many countries?
00:01:25: Last
00:01:25: count was one hundred and three two countries.
00:01:27: so yeah people all over the world rely on Doolittle software.
00:01:30: That's impressive growth.
00:01:31: So whats'the philosophy behind it all?
00:01:34: What makes Doolable tick?
00:01:36: You know It really boils down to One key phrase for us user-friendliness.
00:01:40: User friendliness, okay
00:01:41: Yeah we genuinely want structural analysis to feel intuitive maybe even enjoyable
00:01:47: Huh?
00:01:47: Enjoyable analysis that's a goal.
00:01:49: Well may be less daunting at least Even if you only have say basic computer skills.
00:01:53: We want it to be accessible.
00:01:55: But user friendliness can't just beat the software interface right?
00:01:58: how does that extend outwards?
00:01:59: That is great point.
00:02:00: It has more than just clicks.
00:02:02: For us it means prioritizing really qualified support.
00:02:05: How so
00:02:06: We offer free email and chat support.
00:02:08: And the key is it's from experienced engineers who actually use the software.
00:02:12: So not just a call center?
00:02:14: Exactly plus there's twenty hundred four seven access to all our online stuff FAQs knowledge base articles webinars you name It.
00:02:22: okay, what else fits under that philosophy?
00:02:25: well we always aim for an excellent price performance ratio, that's crucial.
00:02:29: And continuous improvement
00:02:31: based on user feedback I imagine
00:02:33: directly on user Feedback.
00:02:34: we listen very closely and collaborations are important too like what for example We've had a really long-standing FEMM partnership That's finite element method with Professor Kohler team since way back in nineteen ninety
00:02:46: three.
00:02:46: Wow Long term
00:02:48: and more recently our Irwin development that involved working closely with CFD computational fluid dynamics experts.
00:02:54: Oh an a big one for us.
00:02:56: We fully support students and universities with free software licenses.
00:03:00: That's
00:03:00: great for the next generation of engineers, yeah?
00:03:02: Okay so boiling it down.
00:03:04: if someone is considering structural software why specifically Diluble?
00:03:07: what are the key reasons?
00:03:08: well
00:03:08: first off we offer universal software but its got a modular structure
00:03:12: meaning you can pick and choose
00:03:13: Precisely.
00:03:14: You tailor the add-ons to your specific design projects, you don't pay for things that you do not need.
00:03:19: Makes sense.
00:03:20: Then there is extensive free support and services we mentioned.
00:03:23: We have over twenty dedicated support engineers.
00:03:26: The intuitive interface means a generally short introductory period.
00:03:32: Get up to speed quickly
00:03:33: And it plays well with others.
00:03:34: BIM compatibility
00:03:35: Absolutely!
00:03:36: We are internationally recognized strong compatibility with Revit, Tekla AutoCAD.
00:03:42: We support IFC and DXF formats for smooth data exchange.
00:03:45: that's crucial for BIM workflows.
00:03:47: Any other standout points?
00:03:49: Yeah, a few!
00:03:50: we include useful things for free like automatic load generators.
00:03:53: think wind in snow loads saves a lot of time definitely...we also offer programmable API & web services.
00:03:59: That allows for automation scripting customizing workflows.
00:04:03: our graphical input is very CAD-like which feels familiar to many engineers.
00:04:08: And uh..We have flexible license options too.
00:04:11: Okay let's talk products.
00:04:12: You mentioned modular, what are the core programs?
00:04:14: Right our flagship is probably IRFEM-SIX.
00:04:18: that's our new generation three D FEA software.
00:04:23: It's the foundation of the modular system.
00:04:25: it handles plates walls shells members even solid elements.
00:04:29: very
00:04:29: versatile okay more else.
00:04:31: then there's ERSTAB nine.
00:04:33: Now, Erstab is powerful analysis and design software but it's specifically focused on three-D beam frame or truss structures.
00:04:40: So more for framework type structures?
00:04:42: Exactly!
00:04:43: If you're mainly doing frames of trusses, erstab might be your starting point For detailed cross section work.
00:04:49: we have airsection one Air Section One.
00:04:52: It's a standalone tool purely for cross section calculations in stress analysis.
00:04:56: Very precise.
00:04:57: And you mentioned wind earlier.
00:04:58: Ah yes, ERWIN-III.
00:05:00: That's quite unique!
00:05:01: It uses a digital wind tunnel to actually simulate wind flows around your structure
00:05:06: Like a virtual wind test
00:05:07: Pretty much.
00:05:08: And then it exports the resulting wind loads directly into IRFM or Erstam.
00:05:13: So they all work together.
00:05:14: They're designed to integrate seamlessly.
00:05:16: Yes Different tools for different jobs but part of cohesive
00:05:19: system Makes sense.
00:05:21: Let us touch on.
00:05:21: quality.
00:05:22: Sounds important But how do you ensure in practice?
00:05:25: It's paramount, really.
00:05:27: We focus on prompt support aiming for that twenty-four hour response time.
00:05:32: we also offer technical training to help users get productive quickly.
00:05:35: and On the sales side
00:05:36: our sales advice is always meant To be honest.
00:05:39: we want to help you find The right module combination For your needs And budget not just sell You everything.
00:05:45: no embellishments in marketing either?
00:05:47: We try very hard to Be informative and accurate Not overhyped.
00:05:51: Internally, the programs go through constant rigorous quality control.
00:05:56: Dining bucks
00:05:57: finding and fixing them.
00:05:58: all errors are documented and corrected systematically.
00:06:02: We also believe in open communication if issues do arise And crucially we continuously train our specialists.
00:06:09: These are qualified civil and mechanical engineers so they can provide truly exceptional service.
00:06:13: It
00:06:13: sounds comprehensive.
00:06:14: now someone listening is intrigued.
00:06:16: What's a best way for them to you know kick?
00:06:18: The tires
00:06:19: easiest ways of try it.
00:06:20: We offer a free, ninety-day full trial version.
00:06:23: Ninety days?
00:06:24: That's generous!
00:06:41: Well, I think it means we're providing not just software but a whole ecosystem The tools and the support to help you tackle complex structural analysis with With more confidence.
00:06:52: You know Think about the amazing structures engineers design that shape our world skyscrapers complex bridges stadiums.
00:07:00: How could having powerful?
00:07:01: But genuinely user-friendly software maybe change how you approach your next engineering challenge?
00:07:06: That's something to consider
00:07:08: A great thought to end on.
00:07:09: We hope this deep dive into DeLubel software has given you some valuable insights.
